MHS provides care for 89 inpatients and 34 Day Program students. Patients and students range in age from 6-22 years old with diagnoses on the severe end of the spectrum for Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Myelodysplasia, and Brain/Spinal Cord Injury. These diagnoses are often accompanied by co-morbid medical conditions such as diabetes, seizure disorders, respiratory conditions, cardiac conditions and psychiatric diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders. Patients and students do not meet the criteria for Skilled Nursing Facility placements.
